CFS is proud to introduce the next generation of post-construction BMPs, featuring infiltration, biofiltration, pre-treatment and filtration and rainwater harvesting products. CFS has partnered with ACF Environmental, Convergent Water Technologies, Fabco Industries, Inc. and PaveDrain in order to offer state of the art stormwater solutions, exclusively to California, Arizona, and Nevada.


Infiltration is the process by which stormwater and groundwater permeates into the soil. Using infiltration to capture or prevent stormwater runoff is the primary approach to complying with today’s stringent post-construction standards. With an average of 95% void space, CFS’ infiltration devices are the most effective products available in today’s market.


PaveDrain is the low-maintenance and durable solution to permeable pavements. PaveDrain’s articulating concrete blocks allow for infiltration, storage, detention and conveyance all in one. With its open joint design, infiltration rates can be in excess of 1,300 inches per hour.


Ecoraster is a permeable paving solution that allows for natural drainage into the ground. With German engineering at its core, Ecoraster is manufactured in Canada using post-consumer plastic waste and distributed throughout North America. With the ability to withstand even the harshest of climates, Ecoraster comes with a 20-year warranty that guarantees results in projects large and small. No maintenance is required for this system.


The R-Tank system is an alternative to stormwater basins and a more efficient, space saving alternative to other underground systems. R-Tank stormwater modules can be used for a variety of applications including: Retention and Infiltration, Detention, Recycling or Harvesting, Pond Retrofits, Dry Wells, and Bioretention. When space is at a premium, R-Tank’s 95% minimum void space allows for the smallest possible footprint.



Many developers turn to biofiltration, but are forced to surrender massive land areas to accomplish modest goals. Biofiltration is a pollution control technique using living material to capture and biologically degrade pollutants.


FocalPoint High Performance Modular Biofiltration System (HPMBS) reduces the space requirements of traditional biofiltration systems while providing all the water purification benefits.


Focal Point Enhanced Metal Removal

The Focal Point Enhanced Metal Removal system is a modular system that eliminates pollutants from high risk industrial sites. The system was developed by the United States Navy and two patents were secured for this combined technology. The FocalPoint EMR utilizes technologies that, when combined, remove contaminants to very low levels as required by the applicable permits. This combination allows the system to meet stringent water quality standards while simultaneously reducing the system’s footprint.


Biochar Filtration Media

(aka Evergreen BioCarbon) is produced from clean, southeastern US pine biomass and is composed of >80% fixed carbon. BioCarbon is very porous with abundant internal surface area and high adsorption capacity. BioCarbon has undetectable amounts of live microorganisms due to production temperatures >800o C. As an agricultural amendment or remediation media, it can provide benefits in the soil for >100 years because it resists decay. BioCarbon is also called Activated Biochar.

StormGarden TAPE GULD Approved Biofilter

StormGarden is a TAPE GULD Approved Low Impact Design (LID) micro-bioretention system that has been engineered for high flow treatment and high pollutant removal. The high flow-through rate of the engineered media results in a much smaller footprint than traditional bioretention systems, thus treating the same amount of stormwater runoff at a fraction of the cost.

Stormgarden is unique in that it has a “Runoff Reduction Infiltration Panel” that allows a portion of the runoff to infiltrate into the ground thus replenishing the groundwater supply and reducing the volume of runoff discharging downstream. The panel also allows the unit to completely drain between storm events to prevent bacteria growth and nitrogen release during the next storm.




With today’s post-construction BMP manuals and the requirements of the Industrial General Permit, filtration is now a required practice. Trash reduction BMPs are also required in many municipalities and are an easy and cost-effective way to maintain compliance with storm water quality standards and regulations. Trash Reduction Devices

Pretreatment and source control BMPs are also a necessary treatment practice for many sites where larger debris have the potential to enter and clog a filtration system. Implementing a Trash Interceptor in conjunction with TrashGuard or a CPS unit will severely cut-down maintenance costs and contribute to maintaining stormwater quality standards.

Our Trash Interceptor will capture large objects outside the curb inlet so that simple removal can occur with street sweeping operations. The adjustable filter insert will also catch this larger debris just below a catch basin’s grate.

And our Trash Guard CPS (Connector Pipe Screen) Unit captures smaller debris before it enters the outlet pipe.

The StormSack catch basin insert is optimized for the capture of sediments, trash, and debris in stormwater runoff.



Water use, especially for lawns and landscaping, is being severely restricted due to the ongoing drought. Rainwater harvesting is a technique used for collecting, storing and using rainwater for landscape irrigation and other uses.


When lined with a 30 mL visqueen instead of a geo-woven fabric, the R-Tank System transforms into a water storage and harvesting tank. With the use of a simple pump, the possibility for rainwater harvesting and reuse is suddenly a reality.
